Costs
How much does it cost to hire a helper through We Are Caring?
Every fee is published on our costs page: the We Are Caring service fee, each third-party fee, and what you pay each month once your helper starts. Helpers pay nothing.
Do helpers really pay nothing to We Are Caring?
Yes. We Are Caring charges helpers no placement fee, offers no loans and makes no salary deductions, in Singapore or in their home country.
What happens if the helper leaves in the first months?
If the employment ends within 2 months for any reason, including her resignation, We Are Caring provides a replacement with no service fee; third-party fees still apply. The guarantee can be extended to 6 months for S$99 + GST. Separately, Ministry of Manpower (MOM) rules entitle employers to a refund of at least 50% of We Are Caring's S$1,295 service fee if employment ends within six months and the conditions set by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) are met.
Can I get a refund?
At least 50% of the S$1,295 service fee, if the employment ends within 6 months and the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) conditions are met. App passes are not refundable.
What is the difference between the Starter, Premium and VIP passes?
All three let you post a job ad for 30 days. Starter reaches helpers who are abroad; Premium adds helpers already in Singapore; VIP adds a shortlist handpicked by our consultants. Prices are on the costs page.
Hiring
How long does it take to hire a helper through We Are Caring?
Once you have chosen your helper, processing takes a week or less for a transfer, 3 to 4 weeks for a helper from the Philippines or Indonesia, and 1 to 3 weeks from other countries.
Do I need to visit your office?
No. We Are Caring handles the hiring online, with electronic signatures, and your consultant is available by video call, phone and WhatsApp. You are always welcome to visit us at our office, 61 Killiney Road, Level 2, Singapore 239522, if you prefer to discuss in person.
Can I meet the helper before hiring her?
Yes. You can interview a transfer helper at your home, and a helper abroad by video call.
I found a helper myself. Can I still use We Are Caring?
Yes. We Are Caring can handle the hiring for a helper you found yourself. The fees are the ones in the table above, based on where she is now.
What is a transfer helper?
A helper already working in Singapore who is changing employer. We collect her current employer's consent and release date before publishing her profile.
Do I have to hire through We Are Caring if I find a helper in the app?
Yes. Helpers listed in the app are hired through We Are Caring; this is part of the terms of every pass.
Ministry of Manpower (MOM) rules
How many rest days must I give my helper?
One rest day a week. Since 1 January 2023, at least one a month must be taken and cannot be compensated away. If she agrees to work on another rest day, you pay her at least one extra day's wage.
Do I have to pay the S$5,000 security bond in cash?
No. Maid insurance arranged by We Are Caring includes a letter of guarantee to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for the bond.
What levy will I pay?
S$300 a month for a first helper, S$450 for each additional helper, or S$60 at the concessionary rate if an eligible person lives with you.
Is there a minimum salary for domestic helpers in Singapore?
No. Singapore does not set a minimum salary for domestic helpers; the salary is agreed between employer and helper. Some home countries set their own minimum for their nationals working abroad.

What is the average salary of a domestic helper in Singapore?
Helpers placed by We Are Caring earned an average basic salary of SGD 880 a month in 2025 (1,024 placements), and SGD 865 in the first half of 2026 (494 placements). Salaries vary with nationality, experience and hiring type; the explorer shows the figure for each combination.
How much do Filipino and Indonesian helpers earn?
From 2022 to mid-2026, Filipino helpers placed by We Are Caring averaged SGD 886 a month, and Indonesian helpers SGD 828.

How much does a renewal cost?
Every fee is on our costs page, including the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) fee and insurance.
Can an agency still process my Filipino helper's home leave documents?
No. The Philippine Embassy no longer allows employment agencies to do this. Your helper completes the steps herself with the Migrant Workers Office, and We Are Caring can guide you both.
How much does the lodging cost?
S$39 per night + 9% GST, with a minimum stay of one night. We invoice you, and the booking is confirmed on payment.
Can my helper move with us to Hong Kong?
Yes, for Filipino helpers. It takes 6 to 8 weeks and costs HKD 9,500 in total; you start the paperwork from Singapore.
Can my helper move with us from Hong Kong to Singapore?
Yes, usually within about two weeks. You need a FIN or NRIC, or an in-principle approval for an Employment Pass or ONE Pass.
Can my helper come to France with us?
This depends on the French long-term visa rules for her situation. Caring Recrutement reviews each case.

When did We Are Caring start?
We Are Caring started operating in January 2016, founded by David Bensadon (EA personnel reg. no. R1552212), its Managing Director.
When is the office open?
Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm, and Sunday, 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm. It is closed on Saturdays and public holidays.
