Temporary Lodging for Your Helper in Singapore
If your helper cannot stay at your home for a while, for example between employers or while your family is away, We Are Caring offers temporary lodging in a hotel near Kallang MRT. She has a single bed in a shared, female-only room reserved for We Are Caring, with air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and a personal locker. You book and pay; she pays nothing.
What she gets
- A proper bed in a shared, female-only room reserved for We Are Caring, with air-conditioning and Wi-Fi.
- A personal locker for her belongings, and a respectful, calm place to stay.
- Free to go out during the day, returning to the hotel by 8 pm at the latest. Check-in is between 9 am and 6 pm.
- Food options nearby, including a food court on the corner of the street.
Why a hotel?
We believe a helper who cannot stay with her employer should still stay somewhere decent. Too often, temporary lodging for helpers means restricted food, poor ventilation and thin mattresses. So we chose a hotel: comfortable, air-conditioned and respectful.
What you need to know as the employer
- You remain legally responsible for your helper while she stays with us, until her work permit is transferred or cancelled. We confirm this to you in writing, as the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) requires. If she stays longer than 21 days and her permit is still not cancelled, we write to you again. That letter reminds you of your responsibility and of your right to cancel the permit.
- Food is your responsibility. She must not pay for her own food while in lodging; we recommend sending her a daily food allowance of S$15 directly by PayNow. Meals are not included.
- Only employers can pay for lodging. As a licensed employment agency, we cannot charge helpers for accommodation.
