About Sam

What Sam does

Sam handles the Indonesia side of hiring from start to finish, so every step is handled ethically. He also starts new projects, such as our caregiver service for elderly care, and designs and improves the processes behind them.

Before We Are Caring

Before joining in 2020, Sam worked in IT and quality analysis, and in customer-facing roles. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management and Management from Murdoch University, after studying IT at Republic Polytechnic and ITE. He holds the Certificate of Employment Intermediaries (CEI) from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

What people come to Sam for

Building things from the ground up: new processes, new projects and the strategy to grow them. His IT background and his HR training keep things efficient and fair.

A moment he is proud of

We Are Caring: the first agency in Singapore accredited under the pilot
The very first caregiver of the pilot, deployed by Sam
The most caregivers of any participating agency

Working directly with the Indonesian ministries and our partners, Sam helped coordinate a new, government-backed programme that brings trained caregivers to Singapore for elderly care, debt-free and with no placement fees for the caregiver. About the Indonesian caregivers

In his own words

The helpers I bring over leave their own families behind to care for someone else's. I've seen how much a fair, honest process changes things. That's what keeps me going: making sure the people who travel the furthest are in the safest hands from day one.

When I was in the office on a Sunday, I saw helpers who wanted to apply through them for transfer services, it means they are trustworthy! They are fair, ethical and good to the helpers.
